REWARDING AUSTRALIA’S BEST
AND BRIGHTEST
Melbourne National Scholarships
Melbourne National Scholarships are nationally
recognised awards highly sought after by outstanding
students from across Australia. There are currently
around 150 of Australia’s highest achieving students
studying at the University on National Scholarships.
From 2008, Australian school leavers* with an ENTER
or equivalent of 99.9 or above will be eligible for a
Melbourne National Scholarship. These prestigious
scholarships provide a Commonwealth Supported
Place (CSP) free of HECS debt plus a $5,000 per
annum allowance for up to three years. For students
undertaking medicine, six National Scholarships,
three in Victoria and three from interstate, provide a
Commonwealth supported place free of HECS debt,
plus $5,000 per annum allowance for up to six years.
New to Melbourne National Scholarships
Melbourne National Scholarship recipients
relocating from interstate receive an annual $10,000
allowance for up to three years as well as a CSP place
free of HECS debt.
New Generation Undergraduate Awards
To mark the introduction of the Melbourne Model,
all 2007 Victorian school leavers who enrol in a
New Generation degree in 2008 with an ENTER or
equivalent of 98 and above will be offered a New
Generation Undergraduate Award which will
provide a one-off $2,500 payment to assist with
HECS, relocation or other expenses**. |
